I still see mashed peas as an introductory path to solid food for kids, but unlike attending Montessori schools, I have never seen a "success story", where someone credits their early experience with avant-garde curriculum as a key to a fulfilling career. Anyone?

Same distance, from A to B to C. Thanks for wasting all of our time with you comment.

The absurdity is the point. Comparing the merits of scratch vs game modding in children’s eventual programming career success is such a silly overly serious adult thing to do. If kids experience fun and exploration while learning along the way, that’s what matters.

Plasma is matter, not a force

Yet what is matter but a (strong) force

Matter is usually made of fermions (half-integer spin) whereas force is mediated by bosons (integer spin).

Matter is not a force. Matter and forces are two different things in physics.

And the "strong force" is another thing altogether.

I think their point might be that matter is what defines the location of the force field. I.e. it's the EM field doing the actual work.

Yea, that is it, and I agree with them. When we say that a particle is at some x,y,z, we just mean that the space at that location behaves in a certain manner, for some reason.

And since we don't like mysteries, we say that there is a "particle" there with so and so properties..

It's more like "behaved", because particle measurement events are always historic. Quantum fields are statistical distributions of possible future particle measurement events within spacetime.

That is, until we find a way to unify the fields

Shouldn't you consider individual populations, cultures separately, and not be lumping all native people's together? One can do something another didn't.

You know "wilderness" serves functions too, right?

Anyone else having the text squeezed to only ~1/3 the page width? On mobile

Edit: Switched to desktop site, and.. that's just how it is

Yeah sorry about that, was messing with the styles. I have reverted the changes now so hopefully should be ok again :)

It can use a lot of tokens in the background or tooling without being too verbose with the user

"To keep the discussion concrete,"

Remove the emdash from the front page

Good eye — done!

It many countries it actually is, if you call yourself an engineer professionally without a license you can be heavily fined. Canada, Germany, France..

I don't think you can be fined in France for that. Though I think you'll be fired without compensation or unemployment benefits.

Grug find rock. Krunk slug Durg with rock. Grug, you do this.
