Old reddit still works for me even without login though. I'm too lazy to figure out which from the multiple of userscripts and addons I use allows it, but apparently the block is done half-assedly and easy to circumvent.
It still works for me too (I have no account on Reddit and have no intention to have an account, even if they try to insist), and it is also possible to add .json on the end of the URL for JSON data (although, so far, I only use this feature to view pictures at the original size that are too small if I do not do this).

Complaining without nuance about "D004 - parameter has no description" suggests the article was written by an AI agent, because some parameters simply don't need any description. Prime example is "url" parameter explicitly mentioned in the article - unless there are multiple possible url parameters, adding the description just bloats context.
I wouldn't be surprised if consoles got replaced by video game streaming. Not the next generation and probably not even the generation after that, but that will be most likely it.
Video game streaming requires a high quality internet connection to a nearby data center. It can work in certain places but there's always going to be places where it doesn't work, and consoles don't have that problem.
The question is, when does the market that does have that access start to completely crowd out the market that doesn't have that access?
In a lot of the metro area where I live cloud gaming over 5G wireless is actually very feasible. I do it from time to time. I've tried it in a few other cities as well, with generally positive results.
There are some games that just don't work well over cloud streaming though.
Well Sony is actively working on that problem- the plebs in these internet-starved countries won’t be playing anyway, as with no optical drive in the future ps6 users are going to be tied to PSN which isn’t available on half the planet.
Jokes aside I do agree that streaming doesn’t work reliably for all game genres and client geographies, mostly due to latency
I have been hearing that since 2009 with Onlive and it still seems just as far away now as it was then.
Current streaming services struggle at times to deliver consistent performance and quality, having low latency input involved in it just makes the problem worse.
Too bad Apple wouldn't allow the registration requiring the tapping - it would have been cool if whole social network was a tree with a single root - the founder.

I start/stop to save costs when I'm not actively coding. The VM is ~$7/day running, so I halt it overnight. The wait for Tailscale is just ~10 seconds for the mesh to reconnect after boot.
I started with a beefy VM to make sure I could ramp up without hitting slowdowns, but I'm planning to migrate to an Intel NUC running Proxmox at home soon.
Hm, I don't see much reason to use it unless the website in question is paid. Web today is run on ad revenue and not only won't the site extract any revenue from the agent, it even won't look as a person for ad purposes.
The way I see it the choice for websites is quickly becoming not ads vs. no ads but getting scraped for free by ai companies vs. offering a clean managed front door.
Right now, when an ai scrapes a site, it bypasses the entire user experience that site owners have carefully designed to guide visitors and keep them engaged. The ai just extracts the data and leaves completely ignoring the layout, the related content, and any other part of the site s strategy. Aura is a way for a site to manage that interaction, and this opens up a couple of possibilities. For paid services the aura.json manifest can technically define which capabilities require payment. Your ai agent connected to your payment method, could then directly pay for a api call on your behalf to complete a task.
But perhaps more interestingly for adsupported sites aura enables a new kind of advertising. Since the ai s request contains precise user intent(e.g. searching for flights to London) the api response can include a highly relevant, structured ad object right alongside the data. That s an ad delivered at the peak moment of user intent, which is far more valuable than a simple banner impression. It gives control back to the site owner to build a business model that actually works in a world full of ai agents.
