Good to know. I feel like the word is still common enough in the English language and flock surveillance a new enough thing the well of that word hasn't been poisoned yet. Time will tell I guess
I wonder if this is as efficient or as effective. The guy holding the skimmer was viral and garnered a lot of attention to the situation. This site, while something I support, probably won't. Maybe it'll be the place people find after learning about the guy holding the sign.
Now, if the guy holding the skimmer had a sign with the URL on it, then we're on to something.
Let 'em have em. They already messed up this company, let them go mess up the competition now. Sounds like a plan. Encourage the lowest performers to go.
There's perfectly fine reasons for a company to fail that are not the fault of anyone working there. Small startups relying on revenue from a bigger client at the beginning that shifts their spend, market changing quickly etc.
Which I think are all in the domain of the C-Suite to anticipate and handle, aren't they? If they aren't preparing for those situations then maybe they aren't the right folks for the job.
She’s not known for the concision of her videos, true. The Feynman one is interesting to me because I also read the books about his exploits and enjoyed them.
As a reader I think you should be aware of the strong human tendency to THINK you know the character of the person you are reading about. But you should resist this temptation, because ultimately it will be a projection of your own making.
If you enjoy Feynman stories, go ahead. You don’t need to defend him or get caught up bro culture or alternatively you should be careful about denunciations of historical figures that are performative.
You should be clear about what your morals are and not base them on some historical character that you may not understand completely.
I agree. The combination of one game per day, and a timer is not a great combo. Having a total time at the end would be a great way for people who want to compete on time, and for anyone else who actually wants to finish they can do that too.
I learned this knot from this video a while back -- I've used it ever since. It cinches the shorts tight, but is easy to release. It works especially well on strings that are slippery and don't hold a typical bow very well.
One drawback is that the two ends often end up different lengths, but otherwise it's a great knot!
It is not only that. It's the spacing, how the bass sounds, separation of instruments. There's so many interesting headphones in the midrange to try out. Compare the Hifiman HE1000se to Heddphone 2 GT, or to Focal Clear MG and you'll understand.
Also with HEDD you get a handcrafted device made in Berlin. And if you go with nicer cables, they are very beautifully done and feel great. There is no difference in sound of course. Some people like jewelry, I can get similar enjoyment from beautiful audio equipment and cables.
