I started off and a shy, awkward (probably autistic) computer programmer wondering if I could ever convince a woman to marry me. Now I'm on my 3rd kid and hoping for more.

Parenting gives to access to a part of the world you never knew existed. The school events, sports, Cub Scouts, neighbors down the street. You meet people who are trying to create a great world for their children. Your interests align, so you end of working together on it. You actually become part of the community.

I used to be Mr. Career, and maybe someday I'll get back to it. But right now my job plays such a small role in my life compared to my family.

Magnesium also solved my restless leg syndrome at night. I take magnesium glycinate. I bought the powder and sprinkle some on my nighttime ice cream sundae a few hours before bed.

>nighttime ice cream sundae I assume that’s a joke.

Supposedly that's how Keith Richards came up with Satisfaction.

So the print in hardbacks is better quality than paperbacks? I had no idea.

It is especially true for MMPBs (mass market paperbacks). It's a specific term for a specific format of books that are just recently being phased out. You can find more info about this online.

There are tons of price cuts that paperbacks (and especially MMPBs) use that they don't bother with on (most) hardcovers, because if you're getting a hardcover you probably don't care about absolute lowest cost.

And there's stuff much cheaper than MMPB but they're very rare (think phonebooks and old catalogs).

This might be the coolest personal website theme I've ever seen.
