- Don't put them in non-trivial paths so they are not easy targets. I never put them under a path that `git clean -xdf` erases, for example.
- One thing that always scares me is that some third party code will just do a getenv AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID in whatever language and send it out somewhere. So I tend to either invent non trivial environment variables names, and/or do unsetenv when the process starts, after it loads them to some internal config struct.
Terminals and web browsers are our main UI drivers right, so yeah, it makes sense to have a super app that provides them both in the best way. Embdding a terminal inside a web app is annoying because of Ctrl-W and other issues, and embedding a web broswer inside a terminal is even more weird. So we wind up having Wayland compositors do the work to combine them in one environment.
I tried to do this with a simple wgpu + winit app, servo, and alactitty_terminal, and it kinda worked, but both terminal and web browser rendered poorly.
The way I interpreted it is that projects that blanket ban AI/LLM usage will become less relevant... not because the robot overlords will take over software development, but because the use of AI as a tool has legitimate and sometimes profound usefulness... and if they can't be utilized on a certain platform, people will just go elsewhere.
An NVIDIA consumer GPU sells for 50+% or more than an equivalent AMD GPU. Because people are buying NVIDIA GPUs to run local models instead of AMD ones.
I did the same thing, I paid 50% more to get an 5070 Ti instead of the equivalent AMD.
This is probably good for gamers, AMD GPUs are not price inflating to the same degree as NVIDIA, because they are bad at LLMs.

AMD also deprecates cards and throw in wrenches for cards that are hot in used markets. Latest ROCm kind of works on MI50 but requisite files are taken out of just standard Ubuntu installation. They truly don't understand marketing.
They are actually great at LLMs but you need to invest in keeping up with community tuning efforts. But I am fine with most thinking they are bad at LLMs, because I keep buying more of them!

Understanding human interaction nuance to an exact degree. For example, even when given all the scripts of the Seinfeld TV show, they still cannot come up with a new script does not feel as good as any of them (once they can, I want to watch these episodes..).
