Please don't shitpost. This is beneath you, or ought to be.

Center-right (for France) philosophers: exist. Not surprising that they are underrated?

"Embodied cognition" before it became a thing: https://existentialcomics.com/philosopher/Maurice_Merleau-Po...

Not enough of a rockstar, too normal (for any ethnicity), etc.

Internationally, maybe some great (apolitical-- or not) philosophers have been misdiagnosed as anthropologists?

Could you please stop posting unsubstantive comments and flamebait? You've unfortunately been doing it repeatedly. It's not what this site is for, and destroys what it is for.

If you wouldn't mind reviewing https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html and taking the intended spirit of the site more to heart, we'd be grateful. You're welcome here, but we're really trying for a different kind of internet discussion, so we can't have commenters breaking the rules so badly.

I am sorry, will refrain from commenting for a while. edit: until I get hold of my senses.

Comments moved to https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=49119065, which is currently on the frontpage

Can you please not post AI-generated or AI-edited comments to HN? It's not allowed here - see https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html#generated and https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=47340079.

Of course, it's impossible to know for sure what was LLM processed or not, but some of your posts (like this one) have been getting classified that way.

Please don't cross into personal attack or post flamebait or take HN threads on generic tangents. We're trying for something different here.

Criticizing EA is not a personal attack it's an observation of the outcomes associated with the ideology.

I'm sorry if it was flamebait.

The person in your comment was not EA.

There's always a way to make your substantive points thoughtfully, though of course this takes more time and energy - sometimes a lot more - but if you'd please invest the effort to do that when commenting here, we'd appreciate it. Or, of course, it's always an option not to post.

Claiming he's not an Effective Altruist is a stretch. He's been tightly coupled with that movement for nearly a decade.

It's good he is getting it out in the public, on record. He'll lie, conveniently ignore techno fascist astroturfing, selectively moderate on hot topic issues and then point to some wabisabi philosophy on both sideism.

The majority of top threads on hn on any given days are legit flame wars and llm accusation mud slinging.

But you cant say Dario Amodei is an effective altruist. Incredible.

Please don't use quotation marks to make it look like you're quoting someone when you aren't. That's also a snark trope, and we're trying to avoid those here.

It's true that metacommenting about leaving a discussion in order to leave a supercilious last word is a flamebait trope. But please don't respond by breaking the site guidelines yourself. That only makes things worse.

Understood, I've read the guidelines and will endeavour to follow them.

Appreciated!

From a superficial look I think the submitted title ("Moonshot built on 20k Nvidia chip cluster from Alibaba") might have been misleading. Article says "That hardware forms a substantial chunk of the overall computing capacity Moonshot uses for its Kimi models", implying that other hardware was also used.

(We've changed the title to what the article says now.)

Could you please stop posting unsubstantive comments and flamebait, and also please stop using HN primarily for political/ideological battle?

These things are not what HN is for, and destroy what it is for, so we ban accounts that do them repeatedly.

If you'd please review https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html and stick to the rules when posting here, we'd appreciate it.
