I think it'll become increasingly important to have folks thinking about how to explain new math in a way that makes sense to your math bachelors students. And to your bright AP Calc students.
If we can point ChatGPT at these problems and get eventual answers, that's awesome, but it'll still be important to figure out how to tell people why this matters in ways they understand.
At least personally, parts of the differences for me are that the same instructions to a different CNC machine should produce the same product and that the machinist, presumably, created the instructions themselves.
Instead of saying "create instructions for CNC to make me a _thing_, then instruct the CNC machine to actually create the _thing_" they went and created the instructions themselves.
It sounds like you're also advocating for some form of permanent pragma that gets stored in the SQLite file and that the CLI will read and apply on startup?
That way somebody can snag a copy of your data and be subject to the same constraints by default.
I see where you're coming from, but I think it's less the fact that they _can_ use an LLM to do this and more that they can't guarantee anybody else has exercised equal diligence with their code or equal experience with browser engines.
It's not unreasonable to feel conflicted about this, but at the same time, I wonder if they're starting to burn out on code review.
