", but eventually you need to sell things for at least what it costs to make them."

Gmail, and every other free service would like a word. Net tangential profit invalidates your point. They can loss lead LLM's forever if they are getting other economic benefit from the practice

Do you have any basis for this collection of claims? I've never heard of this intentional obfuscation.

Thankfully due to AI, it is an extremely simple matter to set up your own HN feed and filter it absolutely however you want

If people here barely see any non-AI content, then that non-AI content doesn't get interacted with, have interesting comments, etc.

Filtering HN for yourself does not have the same effect as surfacing more non-AI content to every one.

Imagine being front and center to the development of a major revolutionary tech.. and ur solution to it being too dangerous is to not be involved.. so a. your ability to steer it safely is killed b. the % of people invovled in it that care about its risks is reduced

great. if you're right. you made huamnity's situation much worse.

if you're wrong, then you're an idiot and wrong.

weird. its almost like.... that cannot possibly be the reason they left :)

Well one way to look at it is:

As a programmer, but working in two non-SWE roles, I have turned job A 70% over to AI, and job B 90%.

Where systems and scaffolds can be put in place to manage various aspects of a job, would this not be considered, partially, an "AI job"?

If you work in government grants and R&D, what if agents can now triage 100-1000x the opportunity count that you could ever handle alone, and you had a pipeline system in place to manage said opportunities and relationships? And then you, as the human, become the mouthpiece and reviewer of hoards of filtered output? Is that Federal Grants & R&D position now not mostly an AI job?

I'd say a large percentage of digital-based jobs can be considered varying percentages of AI jobs.

I think they mean jobs directly related to AI, not merely exercising AI to increase productivity:

AI is also creating a new class of white-collar jobs. Engineers build the models, data annotators label their inputs and judge their answers, “forward-deployed” engineers adapt them for customers, and newly minted “heads of AI” decide what companies should do with the technology.

easy.

"claude, get this c++ program working"

these types of moats are all but obliterated.

When people say they have been in startups for long periods, does this mean they worked at a chain of failed companies?

No no no :) They want(ed) just change :)

goal post shift.

More fuel to why the AA index is fairly pointless. Gemini 3.8 flash is 59 and opus 5 is 63? grok 4.6 is 61 too?

And in the past, gemini 3 pro was rated as high as opus 4.5 and the like

Their AA Intelligence Index is just simply not indicative of whatever I care about, that's for sure.

i know... i suffered through a long load but im not logging in without having even a semblance of clue what the game even is unfortunately
