What happened to the idea of having tiny tubes running through chips that liquid would flow through? Cooling the inside of chips directly. Did it end up causing more problems than it solved?

This is an example of where the lack of "instruction/data" separation is a benefit - the system is able to recognize you're obviously trying to make it do something stupid.

I figured it wouldn't work. It's too obvious not to already be prevented. I can see it happening in a Dev environment accidentally and fixed before the first release.
If they're told to upload it as an opaque blob and only reference it by name, it may not react that way. So the attack may work, but it would also only last as long as you have billing limits left to feed it. It's not clear what would be accomplished by this extremely expensive and brief feedback loop.
In this hypothetical scenario a criminal would do this to cause problems. They would use stolen money or compromised accounts. How much it costs wouldn't really matter to the initiator or they might even want to waste as much as they can.
thats all well and good when you're trying to make it do something stupid. The category of attacks that will work on the stupidest humans still works well on the smartest AI's. It's barely above "you won a prize!!! click yes to all the dialog boxes that are about to pop up to recieve!!!"

observation that I've noticed recently: what's with wikipedia downsizing the hell out of images site wide? Every image I look at is garbage and I have to dig through multiple links to find the original.
I saw this with screenshots already for like 10-15 years now? It's some overly conservative policy to comply with fair use. I recall a page outlining that you should basically pick the minimum possible resolution that still allows you to distinguish the features of interest. I get why they do this, but it's really horrible from archiving and accessibility perspectives... And I would like to treat Wikipedia as one of the main archives of the world's collective knowledge.
All this goes to my "world has gone insane over IP law" bucket. Similar to people disallowing their games being streamed or even shared in screenshots.

There’s nothing to suggest it was downscaled in the log or copyright encumbered, it just looks like it’s old/small. I often click into Wikipedia/Wikimedia Commons images where the original is available as a super high resolution option in addition to various smaller thumbnails.
I grew up SDA. We ate eggs. Meat (beef, chicken, fish with scale and fins) was not forbidden but it was looked down upon. Potlucks were the worst since i was (am) a picky eater. No meat in sight. Mostly grey lumps in white gravy-ish sauce. I would survive on shells and cheese, mashed potatoes, and fruit salad.
It's possible we were just bad SDAs though. I've met some hardcore SDAs. I imagine how I felt about them was how "regular" Christians felt about me.

These discussions are really fun to me. The opportunities to be absurdly pedantic are almost endless. Common words for things gloss over so many details. Most of the time those details aren't important but they still exist and there's someone on the internet that cares deeply about them.
My wife is a biologist, and as I understand biology on an academic level is just near-constant arguments about seemingly basic terms and concepts.
Life, species, gene, organism - we don’t actually have consistent definitions of what those are. Biology is the science of fluid spectrums, so any rigid classification you’d propose breaks down at the edges.
We must accept that most people are careless in their choice of words, so they frequently do not use the words in their strict sense but they use them in a broad sense, instead of using the most appropriate word.
However this is annoying, because especially with the modern fashion that linguistics shall be only descriptive and not prescriptive, like in the past, many words have become more and more ambiguous.
For this reason, misunderstandings have become more and more frequent, especially when using a medium like an Internet forum, which forces conciseness. Now, if you want to be certain that you will be understood correctly, more and more often you are forced to first define exactly many of the words that you intend to use, because the same words may be used by others with different meanings, even if in earlier literature everybody used only the meaning that you want.
I wouldn't blame people. 'Fruit' is a perfectly fine English word.
I would blame botanists for overloading everyday terms with their own specialised meanings.
Mathematicians are also prone to this, but I guess it's less likely someone will mix up a ring or field in the everyday sense and in the mathematical sense.
