Above is an article detailing why xCode sucks. In my opinion, it did. It used to really suck, but with xCode 5, iOS app development is much better. Its an overall better environment, if you can get passed developing on such a restricted platform.
Agreed. There were the usual problems with getting used to a new interface layout, but IMO Xcode 5 is a major improvement. It seems faster (I haven't done any metrics though; possibly it's just the more streamlined workflow) and is definitely less crashy.
I'm doing PhoneGap stuff, so the platform restrictions aren't really an issue for me.
I have to agree with you. 6 is MUCH, MUCH better! As far as platform restrictions, I just meant with iOS in general. Its a lot more restricted than other platforms. Ive been doing a lot with PhoneGap on Android, but haven't had any luck on iOS. The problem I run in to the most has to do with archiving and validating.
