Nice move indeed! Let's just hope that there will always be viable alternatives, just in case the systemd project ends up like pulseaudio.

How did pulseaudio ended up? It seems to me that it's quite a healthy project right now.

It may have had some issues at the beginning but I can't find anything to complain about it right now.
